As I graduate each class, I am encouraged to know what a difference these programs make in people's lives. Here are just a few testimonials from recent graduates:

"Taking this class has made me a better parent and a better individual. One of the best workshops I ever attended. I use the skills from the workshop on my job also. Everybody should have The Parents Toolshop book." --- Dereka Smith

"If everybody had access to the information taught in this class and applied it to their parenting, children and parents would definitely be happier and healthier" -- Lisa McCoy

"Once I put the lessons to use in our home, we saw results immediately!. I recommend this class and Jody's training to everyone. I am now able to help others find solutions to situations in their household using the what I learned in this class." --- Ryan McCoy

"After learning the Cooperation Toolset in class this week, I put it to the test with my strong-willed children. We didn’t have a single argument or power struggle the entire week! Isn’t that a small miracle? I truly am learning so much, I can’t wait until we meet again!" — Lena Guilfoil...due to graduate soon!

President's News:

I almost have all the information I need to start creating my Legacy Plan, which will include a long-term business expansion and team-building plan. Part of that plan is to get an abridged version of The Parents Toolshop published by a national publisher. (I've been self-publishing all these years!) I have the first draft done of both the book and book proposal and hope to finish it and have it to agents and/or publishers no later than by the end of the summer.

News for Family-Professionals:

NEW Parents Toolshop Advisor Certification available. Parents Toolshop® Advisors are authorized to provide individual coaching, consultation, counseling and solution-based therapy to parents using Parents Toolshop® teachings, including the proprietary Universal Blueprint® Parenting Success Formula (UBPSF). They are different from certified Parents Toolshop "Group Facilitators" who teach educational programs using The Parents Toolshop® parent education curriculum.

We encourage every counselor, coach, CFLE, social worker, MFT, psychologist and pediatrician to consider this certification so they can be sure parents receive the most accurate and effective advice possible. We know you have the training and skills to provide one-on-one services, but we also know that even Masters and PhD programs in these professions do not provide or mandate courses on practical parenting skills for our degrees. We want to support and supplement your training and expertise in advising parents by providing the content for your advice...and exactly what you can recommend parents say and do in any parenting challenge, using the Universal Blueprint® Parenting Success Formula.

For more information, go to: http://www.parentstoolshop.com/HTML/PTadvisor.htm

PTC Group Facilitators who are on "Active" status as of January 1, 2008 may be "comped in" as Advisors based on their professional credentialing. Those who have allowed their certification to lapse can obtain both certifications by renewing their Group Facilitator certification. (See last correspondence you received from us for what that would entail.)

Beginning January 1, 2009, PTC will only refer parents to PTC "approved" Advisors for consultations on parenting issues. To be approved, professionals need to complete the "Advisor Certification Process." When you see our Legacy Plan this summer you will understand the importance of this certification and just how many referrals it could potentially bring to your practice.

It will be a very busy Spring...doing what I love best...training parents, foster parents and family-service professionals. By my next newsletter, this summer, I will have had a chance to slow down a bit, regroup and be ready to plan the next exciting phase of The Parents Toolshop's growth. I'm looking forward to sharing my vision and seeing how we can work together to make it happen.

Yours in service to families,

Jody
