This month we celebrate Grandparents Day, so I would like to take a moment to recognize all those Grandparents out there. You have already raised your children and now you play a vital role in helping raise your grandchildren. Some of you may even be the primary caregiver for your grandchildren. Whether you live close or far away, your involvement with your grandchildren adds another level of support and unconditional love that can never be replaced.
RECOMMENDED RESOURCES
Since we celebrate Grandparents Day this month, one of my recommended resources is the Parents Tool Talk® Radio Show archive on Grandparenting. This show explores the special blessings and challenges grandparents experience and how we, as parents, can have a mutually supportive relationship.
Another recommended resource for this month is my article, Halting Homework Hassles. With the beginning of a new school year you'll want to avoid struggles by teaching children good homework skills that promotes internal motivation. You also want to find a balance between work and "play". For other school issues, check out my collection of Back-to-School articles.

School Toolshop®
I still have some availability to schedule School Toolshop® programs for the 2011-2012 school year. If you or someone at your school is interested in sponsoring a program, contact my Speaker Coordinator, Belinda Long, to learn more about which School Toolshop® program would be the right fit for your school, early child care center or after school program.
NEWS & WEBSITE UPDATE
Over the past few months, we have updated and improved our Leader Certification programs to include certifying parent Advisors (who coach parents 1:1). We also added a new level of certification for our future hub site Experts who will write articles for the new hub site and co-create co-branded Toolshop® programs.
By September 1st, we may have almost 10 Experts who are already certified Parents Toolshop® Leaders. After September 1, we will be buying the hubsite and setting it up, with categories for our Experts. Then, we will be ready to actively recruit, screen and interview new Experts. I will send you a separate email announcing our current Experts and categories for which we are seeking new Experts. That way, if you or someone you know is an Expert in these areas, I'll give you information to pass on, to have them check out the information.
We also created two new programs for parenting professionals who didn't fit the new leader or Expert criteria but we really want to support them in reaching and serving parents.
- A special program for Non-Profit agencies who want a lifetime use agreement for their staff, to use The Parent's Toolshop® as their parenting curriculum, but not build individual businesses.
- A non-Leader "Recommended Resource Partner" program for people who have complementary philosophies, and want our support building their parent-related businesses, but will not be teaching/coaching parents with our curriculum.
I am now in the process of getting the details written and posted on the new website. I will provide links when they're ready.
In other news, I was invited to audition for a national cable network parenting show and a local news station wants to feature PT programs in a really innovative way! It's too soon to know if either will move forward, but I'll give you updates if they do!
INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMS
I want to remind you that the new website has interactive resources available to anyone worldwide who has access to the internet. All the lessons and pages on the new site can be translated into 45 languages. Just click on the flag from the country you are in that shows up across the top of the page and it will translate it into that country's language! Isn't that cool?
We also now have an on-line version of my live parenting workshop, called the Advanced Support Training. I'm so excited that now parents worldwide can get training with me and experience this transformational self-growth program that was once only available to parents in my local area. Take the 30-Day Challenge and in your one-on-one Strategy Session you will find out if you qualify to attend this invitation-only training program.
As we head into Fall, enjoy these cooler days and take time to notice the beautiful changes happening around you. My team and I will be busy building the new hubsite and getting our Experts' articles up on the new blog site. I am always available to support you and respond to any questions you may have, through the free 30-Day Challenge discussion forum and Gold calls. Until next month, I am always...
Yours in Service to Families,
