Parents Toolshop® News

Programs & Schedules

Dayton (OH) Parents Toolshop TIPS class starts soon. Early Bird discount deadline is Jan.12th.

Not in the Dayton area or don't have the time? Here are two independent study options that cover the same content:

Participate in the next PTC monthly parenting teleseminar, on the second Friday of each month. Join Jody and other parents from around the world to discuss an interesting parenting topic, share and receive practical tips, and get live Q&A from other parents and a national parenting expert for the remainder of the hour.

  • To participate, just register once for the series and you'll receive a reminder of the call. If you can make the call, great! You'll get personalized support and guidance from me and the other parents and family professionals on the call. If you can't make the call that month, no sweat! You'll still receive all the after-call resources, including the recording of the teleseminar...at no charge!

  • To see a list of past topics or get a recording of a past teleseminar, go to the teleseminar archive page.

Toolshop® Tour Guide News

Deanna Todd, two-time winner of the Outstanding Tour Guide Award retired November 30, 2007. She will be co-residing in Phoenix and Dayton. Her replacement is completing the Parents Toolshop Group Facilitator training now.

As of Jan. 15th we will no longer use the term "Tour Guide" to describe our instructors because we are adding a new certification program: Parents Toolshop Advisors, for counselors, consultants and coaches. We will be rolling out an entirely revamped website to reflect these changes and to provide more information about this program. We will also send a special announcement on Jan. 16th to everyone on our mailing list with more details.

Parents Toolshop Price Increases: I've kept my parenting class and resource fees the same since 1997...that's over 10 years! So although I'm doing a cost-of-living increase to better match my production and delivery costs, all my resources and classes are still priced lower than other parenting programs. And since I know our money follows our priorities, I know it's also still very affordable for every parent who places a high priority on being the best parent he/she can be. The parenting classes are just $15/hr starting with the January classes, but the resource price increase won't go into effect until 1/15/08, so if you want anything, go to the on-line store before then!  In fact, here's $10 to spend! Just click this link and it will deduct $10 from any order you place before 1/15/08: http://www.on2url.com/app/adtrack.asp?MerchantID=45633&AdID=174301
